I received the same time of phone call today. Someone with a real thick accent, couldn't understand a thing he was saying. States he was calling in regards to a payday loan I had taken out. Was real evasive about letting me speak or give me information. Telling me I had committed bank fraud. Tried to explain that I had a rough period where I unfortunately took a loan for $250 and they debited by acct for the second payment 3 days early causing overdraft fee's. I further tried to explain that I had disputed the charge with my bank and being drafted earlier than the scheduled date. He wouldn't listen to me and kept hanging up stating I would be arrested Monday at work or at my home. I tried to explain I had no problem paying my debt but if I schedule the payment for a certain day there is a reason for having it on that day. He told me not to contact the company I had taken the loan from to contact him only to resolve this. I don't know what to do. Jail is not my thing and I should of never done it in the first place but needed the funds. Anyone have any advice. Can they come Monday morning and take me away. I've never heard of getting a warning prior to the arrest. thanks | |
