The Bachelor

I don't get a chance to watch a lot of TV, but have been following The Bachelor with a sort of morbid curiosity. Tonight it was down to two girls, one to say goodbye to, and the other one to propose to. He said goodbye to both. Anyone else see this?

ABC has also been cheating the ratings. I know this by watching The Bachelor. That show that comes on before it "Samantha" something or another. They'll have it start a bit after the half hour and run a couple of minutes after the top of the hour. This means that ABC can also claim a quarter or half an hour of the Bachelor's ratings for Samantha as well.

I did see that and was so confused....I also have been watching for sometime this year and he did lead everyone to believe he was falling in love with both of them!! I was so surprised when he walked away from both...how strange to go through all that an then???? Of course I have never believed you could get engaged that soon and everything work out perfect....

I was also so confused and upset!! I could'nt believe my eyes, that ending really sucked. I don't know what in the world happened with him. Tonight there's suppose to be a reunion with both so we will see what he has to say.

I don't think I've ever really watched a full season of this show. I couldn't and still don't understand why people want to go on a reality TV show and quite possibly embarass themselves. It's not even real reality as most of this stuff is scripted.

I had a strange feeling about this guy the whole time, now i know why! My intuitions were right on.... My heart broke for both of these girls he led on. How disappointing!

I'm sorry, but if those girls really thought that they would find true love by going on a reality tv dating show, then they deserved what they got. It's not like this is the first dating show ever on tv. They know what will happen.

Well I personally don't like to see ANYONE hurt but that's just me! He led them on and misled them. Guess I just don't think it's right to purposely hurt anyone, but that's just my opinion and who i am.

But you don't know that he purposly mislead them. You don't know what he was really thinking, and you only see a very small portion of what really happens. Things are edited to look a certain way. It is by no means what "really" happened.

Yes you're right about the editing but i still would never wish hurt or think someone deserves to be so hurt! Of course that's just me and my personality. I wouldn't wish harm or think someone deserves harm ever, even my worse enemy!

I have watched the Bachelor only a couple of times and cruel as this may sound, its all set up behind the scenes for entertainment. I dont wish harm or pain on people, but walking into a show like this, its par for the course for these contestants.

Brad certainly did lead those last two girls that he was falling in love with them, right up to the end. A better excuse for him would be that he chickened out. Someone told me that he was text messaging his ex during the whole time.

I partially agree with volleyballmom. And we don't know how these shows are edited. Take that Survivor show when they were in Austrailia (the last I watched). I never believe once that this group (who had no survival skills) were actually sleeping and spending all their time out in the middle of the outback (a dangerous place). You can bet that at night, they all went back to that ranch house.

Confidentiality agreements are a wonderful thing for television.

Exactly - These shows are not real. They are entertainment.

I bet that everyone that goes on these types of shows has an agenda. They want to be famous or something. And in a strange way, he helped the 2 losers out. They now will have an extended 15 minutes of fame because of the "crazy" conclusion. It's all being way hyped up now . . . . They will get interviews, all sorts of media attention, more then they would have gotten if 1 had won.

Goudah, if you are right about the two girls, just the opposite will happen to the bachelor. Especially after looking at ABC's blog. About 98% rate him as sort of no class loser. Really because he (or ABC) didn't offer any explanation.

DOnt' forget to tune in tonight LS! Can't wait to hear the explanation to the girls, (if he can come up with any)
In reality he did both of these girls a favor and they will meet someone MUCH better than him! He's lied to them and in his confessionals he's lied to America!

I didn't get to see the last show or the reunion. We have to watch cooking shows with my grandmother because she get confused and doesn't understand a lot of the shows any more and is always telling people (if they are watching something else) that they can change it if they want to. LOL, so I missed it all. Think that I could see the episode on the web site?
