someone put a credit card in my name with providian when i was just 12yrs old. i'm 19 now.i found out about it when i got my credit report. i tried getting a police report, but the police told me they couldn't press charges. and gave me a case #. today,i disputed the charges made by providian and credigy on my credit report. i was wanting to know if there's anything more i should do?

Welcome to the forum, do you have any idea who would have done this? Was it a friend or a relative that might have known enough about you to be able to do this. That is sad that they would use a twelve year olds information to get a credit card and sad that the credit card company would issue one. I am sure they lied about the date of birth.
I wish you luck clearing this up, I hope it works out soon for you.
Wait and see if you get positive results from him and if you don't contact the attorney generals office webpage and fill out the complaint form.
