What financial help is there for identity theft victims? It happened to me two times last year and now everything is out of control including my mortgage. All I want to do is get caught up on my bills by using the equity in my home . This was a much bigger problem than I realized and I've spent over a year trying to fix it. I now have a plan and found some resources for help but I need to get my finances on track first. I had excellent credit over a year ago and now it's ruined. Any help would be appreciated. First have you reported this and have the proof to back it up? If so, I would think you would be able to contact your bank, morgage company, everyone that you have financial dealing with. If someone is using your SS card, you also need to contact the SS Admin about this. Make sure everyone is contacted and they know what is going on.
