Default Grant Pro Subscriptions bogus check - Anyone dealt with them

Within the last twelve days, a company called "Grant Pro Subscriptions" has attempted to put through a physical check for $49.95 in my checking account. Both times it was returned, because of NSF, but it has generated two $29 NSF fees. The first one I finally got refunded, but it was a major hassle - hours on the phone, calling back talking to different people...etc.

Now, this morning, another one was attempted to put through. The picture of the check has my signature forged on it, but they have my email address and checking account # on it. I NEVER give out my checking account # unless it's a utility bill or something of that nature that I pay online. The only thing I can thing of is that someone sold them the information. There is no phone number to contact them ( I asked the bank), and the website they listed just hangs and hangs...never actually goes to a site.

Default grant pro

this company is a RIP OFF they purchased your information from a third party company. The only way to keep them from doing it again is to close out your account and never purchase anything online using your checking account number.

They also go under the name of Freedom Subscriptions. They tried to take $ 49.95 out of my checking account under the Freedom name. Bank of America was quick to credit the money back to my account after I told them I never authorized any debit with this bogus company. To play it safe, I have 2 checking accounts with BofA so, I closed the 1 out that they were trying to get money out of & Now use the 2nd account.

I too have been a victim of this bogus thing. They had put an electronic payment into my account for $49.95 to a grant pro solution and had my personal information on it such as my SS# and e-mail address. They also forged my name to this check. My bank was really understanding to this matter and I have recently closed my account.

I have tried to resolve the matter with usbank and they say because of all the personal info on the forged check i must have done it my self. It cost over 200 in fees and i have no means of contacting this company. I reported it to the police.

You need to go over their heads. File a police report. Then take a copy of said report into your bank, and have a nice chat with the branch manager. Not a teller or some such.
