Within the last twelve days, a company called "Grant Pro Subscriptions" has attempted to put through a physical check for $49.95 in my checking account. Both times it was returned, because of NSF, but it has generated two $29 NSF fees. The first one I finally got refunded, but it was a major hassle - hours on the phone, calling back talking to different people...etc. Now, this morning, another one was attempted to put through. The picture of the check has my signature forged on it, but they have my email address and checking account # on it.
I NEVER give out my checking account # unless it's a utility bill or something of that nature that I pay online. The only thing I can thing of is that someone sold them the information. There is no phone number to contact them ( I asked the bank), and the website they listed just hangs and hangs...never actually goes to a site.

You need to go over their heads. File a police report. Then take a copy of said report into your bank, and have a nice chat with the branch manager. Not a teller or some such.
