National Center for Unclaimed Funds
Has anyone ever heard of National Center for Unclaimed Funds? I got a letter from them stating I had 30 days to respond to them that they were holding funds due to me. It sounded really fishy. I've googled and looked them up on ripoff but I can't really seem to find anything.
Before I call them I wanted to see if anyone else had gotten anything from them. All I know is there based out of California. There is only a PO Box listed on the envelope. No physical address. I'm not expecting money from anything. I just thought it was odd that I would receive something like this. Any info would be greatly appreciated. btw....I wasn't sure which forum to post this under. |

How do you know it's a scam? The only stuff I find on ripoff report is they verify address and then say something is on it's way. But then nothing ever comes. I can't find any info stating the ask for money up front.

You can also go to your states Unclaimed Funds site-not sure exactly how it would be listed, and it will list all the people who have unclaimed funds. I think I found ours once on our States website. That is the legal one. I had a friend that had had a deposit from many years ago on a utility bill that he collected.
There were alot of people in our area getting those type of letters, and the news station did a story on it. Turns out, you send them their "finders fee" and they tell you if you have money--a complete scam!! __________________

Finally...someone else who has heard of it!!!!
I have been trying to do research on The National Center for Unclaimed Funds for at lease three years now. The number that they gave me to call and speak to someone doesn't work. The message always says "the number you are calling from in not valid, please call back from a valid telephone number" I was told that I have six checks that they are trying to mail to me, and til this day haven't seen one. I am very thankful to know it is a scam.

I received the same letter back in March of this year. I am not trying to be funny, but do you owe Drive Financial? After trying to find their company information using 411.com and couldn't, I did call them. Needless to say it was a ploy for Drive Financial to get my telephone number!!

This place is definetly no good. I'm pretty sure they work for a bill collection agency, they call my house up to ten times a day for a relative trying to get info on him and saying that he has a rebate. I know this relative recently lost his job and has not been paying his bills so it only makes sense this company all of a sudden started calling. Who actually calls 10 times a day to GIVE you money? Not a chance!
