conflicting sol - which is correct

on one site it lists the sol for illinois as 6 years, on another it says 5. I can't find much of anything on the government website (not surprised) Just wondering, cuz that 12 months can make a difference

SOL in IL is five years for open or unwritten contracts.

Here's the different SOL's for Illinios:

Oral Agreements - 5 Years
WrittenContracts - 10 Years
Promissory Notes - 6 Years
Open Accounts - 5 Years

Credit cards are generally considered Open Accounts. Auto loans and other installment agreements are Written Contracts. If there has already been a lawsuit resulting in a judgment, that judgment has a separate Statute Of Limitations.
