I found out that Route 66 is not licensed in Indiana to give out loans. I would like to know what advice anyone could give me when they call to collect the loan amount. I had to close my bank account and Route 66 has taken out 59.00 fee for months now. when the loan was for 150.00. Any input would be great on how or what to say to these sharks!

To be honest I have no clue. I got the loan in I believe Oct. for 150.00. I have paid the fee of 59.00 every other week since. I just paid a fee of 59.00 last monday. They are going to try to take out another 59.00 this friday. So I really dont have a clue on the principal part. I do feel I have OVER paid it though?

You need to close your bank account first,
and don't let the bank associate your old
account with your new one. Then, you need
to find out how much you have paid Route 66.
You will need those figures so you can write
a letter to them.

Do you have your bank statements? or could you log into the Payday Website and see what you have paid? You really need to have good figures before you send them a letter.
