I was just harrassed by them and they stated they were collecting on behalf of my own credit union. I also informed them I was looking on the internet as we speak and stated they are listed as a fraudulent collection agency. They got really nasty and threatened me with imprisonment. I called my credit union and the rep botified thier security department. I was advised not to send them anything because anything I owed to my credit union has been paid and they did not have any dealings with this company.

I just got a call from them today stating that I need to send a money gram payment today or I would be arrested at my job or my home. What is the validity of this company? Are they a collections agency? Should I be fearful of the arrest happening? Personally, I do think that it is strange that I have not gotten a letter or anything related to the debt prior to the phone call. This is my first encounter with them can anybody help?

Tiffany,

If you browse this forum, you will find lots of information scattered here and there about IWCB and their bad practices. These are very common threats they use to get consumers scared.

Please understand they cannot arrest you without winning a judgment against you and there is no debtors' jail in our country. You have the right to demand something in writing before you pay. Ask them to validate the debt they are collecting. If they can validate the debt accurately, then only you need to pay them.

Try to contact your original lender to verify your account status. Try to get your account settled with original creditor as well.

Hope this information helps. Feel free to post your queries in forums.

Guest,

Try to clear up your debts with original creditor. Members and visitors have posted negative feedback about IWCB. You can browse this forum to know more about them.

IMHO, send them a cease comm. letter so that they stop calling you. Meanwhile contact your creditor and make suitable arrangements to repay it. Use certified mails to send your correspondence and keep the return receipt with you. It can be served as the evidence of your activities in paying the debt.

I just received a call from a Mariah Varance stating that I must call her back.

The voice message her assistant Malcolm Williams left is that I should have my attorney involved.

I am thinking of calling her back and asking for her telephone number and address to verify who the company really is, etc.

Darscott,

Interstate Wire Compliance Bureau is a collection agency. Perhaps they called you for any of your unpaid debts. You can verify it with them by asking for debt validation.

However, according to the responses posted in this forum, this collection agency seems to be very tough to deal with. IMHO, once you can figure out which account they are collecting for, call the OC and get it solved with them directly.

Also browse this forum to know more about IWCB.

Got a phone call from their collection agency. When I asked for verification of debt. They told me that I have already recieved it and should have printed it out in the very begining. Explained to them that I have asked for this information and under the law I am entitled they told me I was not entiltled to this information I have already recieved it and are going to mark the file not willing to pay or something along those lines. When I told that under the law I was entiltled to this information they told me I was not. Who is right and who is wrong?

Under the fdcpa laws you are entitled to a validation of debt they are trying to collect. Send them a debt validation letter and cease and desist by certified mail with return rceipt and document all conversations. If it is legal in your state, tape record all conversations. Know your rights and don't let them get away with refusing validation.

Third party collection agencies must send debt validation to you before start collection efforts. Did you receive the call from Interstate Wire Compliance Bureau? Members of this board have raised question about their authenticity. Please browse this forum to know more about them.

All the collection agencies abide by the fdcpa rues. So they must send you debt validation. The reason behind asking for debt validation is not only confirming your debt amount, but ensuring if they are licensed to collect in your state too.

What exactly they mean by saying that you have already received it? Are they claiming that they have sent validation or they are referring to papers of agreement that you got at the very beginning? A paper of agreement is not validation. So you have the right to see something in writing.

You can also contact with your creditor to settle the account directly with them. Get more info on United Cash Loan here-

I recieved a call from Pinion North Collection Department in Albuqerque, NM which they claim is not a third part collection agency but a payment and processing center. I explained that they had to send me debt validation under the fdcpa law and they claim they did not have to follow this law nor did they know anything about it and they were going to send the paperwork tonight or tomorrow my choice to NJ for processing. What are they? They only thing I recieved from them was an e-mail, tellimg me that my account was with them and I had 10 days to respond to make arrangements and it gives the name United Cash Loans, %Pinion North Collections Dept. and the address and phone number. How should I handle this matter? The first person I talked to could not handle the information I was giving her and she put me on hold and was connected to her supervisor and again told them about the debt validation, the FDCPA and at that point I was told they were not a third party collection agency they were a payment and processing center.

I think pinion is an in house collections for United cash loans. I received a call from them back in October he stated he was from pinion and when he called back he told me he was from oneclick cash. And they will not send you validation, I am still waiting since October and have not heard from them since. no calls and no validation letter. What they did do, was after the last call they called and left a message and told me since they didnt get any where with me they had to do an employment check. They did that because I had asked for validation and they refused and wanted me to pay right then. That was the last I heard from them.

Pinion Management is inhouse collections for United Cash Loans. United Cash Loans will threaten and make your life miserable. Pinion Management has to provide proof. If you are having trouble with them, file a complaint against them and United Cash Loans with the Nevada Attorney General office, Consumer Affairs in Nevada and in your home state. United Cash Loans loves to play games. Don't let them get you down, fight back and don't take any crap from them.
