Sub: #305 Get rid of GCS, here's how!

I just got myself removed from GCS (7195466356). They've been calling me relentlessly twice every evening every few days. Usually during dinner time! These people are an affiliate of Comcast who does advertising and promotion for them. If you got any services from Comcast, chances are these people are harassing you. I found their working office number and address. The lady explained it to me and unfortunately, you can't rid of them from the do-not-call list since they say it's in your contract with Comcast. She said the system calling you is automated, but sometimes the recording does not work that's why no one would answer when you pickup the phone. Very aggravating. You can ask them to have your number removed from their call list. Unfortunately, they use another number 'Unknown', and caller 'Unknown'. That has been increasing in frequency after my number was removed. I haven't gotten any calls from GCS, yet. I also reported them to the Colorado BBB. I got a reply from BBB that they are investigating these people.

Call them and report it to Colorado BBB.

Company Information:

Gcs (Global Call-Center Solutions)
(719) 546-6353
(719) 546-6356

225 W 2nd St
Pueblo, CO 81003

You'll just have to make that one long distance call to Colorado.

Good luck!

I have one on my caller ID. I am blocking their number because they never leave a message and they hang up when I am home to answer.

If you have the ability to block anonymous calls, do that. If you have the ability to block specific numbers do that.

Make them write you.

Sub: #310 GCS CEO IS AN AROGANT DOUCHEBAG
Replied on 09-21-2006, 01:06 PM

I've reported GCS to the colorado BBB. GCS CEO responded and blamed me for these unwanted calls. He blamed me for being misinformed and for not contacting them to remove my number. He said I could have easily removed my no. from the call list by calling them. He said they are easy to reach. He even speculated that I may have misdialed in trying to call them. He blames their system for not leaving messages or my line for not being good enough to recieve their calls. I was even more MAD at his explanation. Instead of being apologetic and provide factual explanation, this douchebag sounds worst than a highschool bully.

If you have trouble with GCS, report them to the BBB.

Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado, Inc.
25 N. Wahsatch, Colorado Springs, CO 80903

Contact the GCS CEO directly, he said he's easy to reach.

This scam takes a 20 year old discharged debt and attempts to collect by offering a VISA card where 50% of the debt will be put on the account and the balance discharged. What this would do is make the old debt they can do nothing about current again.

It is deceptive and illegal and these people should be shut down. ALWAYS DO AN INTERNET SEARCH for your issues and add the word SCAM or FRAUD at the end to see what pops up.

I received a call today and he said his name was Eric Newman phone # 858-244-0444. Threatened to have me arrested, said he would have an officer come to my place of employement or home and that he was with the OSBI in Oklahoma. Did a search on #. That is from San Diego California. Watch out I think that they have people in other states working for them. When I told him that I was willing to set up payments he said fine. Pay all today. Told him not possible. He got upset. He said then you are refusing to pay. I said no, you are refusing my payments because it is not going to be made today like you wanted. He couldn't speak english very well at all. I then told him that I wanted to record the conversation (called me at work) I recorded it and he states that i was still refusing to pay and was raising his voice at me. I told him that again I would be willing to pay my debt but that I wouldn't stand for his abuse. He then said the was going to have an officer at my house waiting on my when I get home. He doens't have my home address only a PO box. He said I committed internet fraud and would be charged with federal criminal charges. How can I make a complaint for the threats. I have search the internet and have only found this forum and one other about this company. But all were based in Florida. What can I do in Oklahoma?

You need to call the FTC and the Attorney General and report the abuse. The company who made those threats are doing so illegally. They cannot threaten you. Hold onto the recording and notify the FTC and the AG that you recorded the phone call. That evidence is GOLDEN! Good luck!
