She is a syndicated columnist, appearing in more than 110 newspaper and websites. She contributes commentaries to Sound Money and Marketplace Money programs, gives speeches to a wide variety of audiences. She has created several electronic newsletters for various companies. Presently she is working on teaching consumers on how to use video to sell their homes and rent their investment properties.

Please tell our readers something about yourself?

I've been a financial journalist for the past 20 years, and have seen the real estate markets cycle around several times. I've been writing my nationally-syndicated column for the past 14 years, and currently am on week number 788. I write four columns each week, including a regular Q&A about real estate, a narrative column, a financial real estate Q&A (including topics like debt, inheritances and taxes) and a column called Ask The Lawyer, which is written with Chicago-based real estate attorney, Sam Tamkin.

I've spent time in all of the major media. I currently host a Sunday morning radio show on WSB-AM in Atlanta and spent 9 years on WGN-TV, in Chicago, where I was live every Tuesday morning and Thursday night, plus created special programming for "sweeps." In the 1990s, I hosted a nationally-syndicated radio talk show plus a daily radio minute, which was a lot of fun.

I've also written 11 books on real estate and money. My best-selling book is 100 Questions Every First-Time Home Buyer Should Ask. I've also written more than 10 ebooks and ereports on money, credit and buying new construction, which are available for sale at my store. I'm currently writing a brand new book with fast and easy solutions to some of the thornier problems people face when it comes to real estate (like trying to buy or sell homes in a dead market).

My main website is ThinkGlink.com
We have more than 30 videos up on the site and expect to add 20+ videos each month.

On the personal side, I've been married for nearly 19 years, and have two boys, Alex and Michael. I find that I face the same challenges and time constraints everyone else does: Too much to do, and not enough time to do it in.

Since when are you Blogging?

I've been blogging for nearly 3 years.

What is your motivation behind this site?

At the end of the week, I come across so much real estate and personal finance information that I can't use everything, even though I have the columns and radio show each week. So, I use the blog to inform my site visitors of what's going on in the world of real estate and personal finance. I also try to step out from behind the pen from time-to-time.

What topics do you explore in this site?

Money, real estate, credit, debt, taxes, and other issues of interest to homeowners and consumers.

What are your future-plans with this site?

To continue doing what I'm doing.

What are the sites and blogs you browse often?
I'm often at inman.com for real estate information. I peruse most of the news sites, to stay on top of the news. CNBC.com is invaluable, as is CNN.com and Money.cnn.com.

Would you please share something for people who are in debt?

If you're in debt and trying to get out, you really only have two choices: You can spend less, or you can bring in more money. Often, you'll want to do both. If you take on a second or third part-time job, be sure to dedicate all of your take-home pay toward paying down your debts. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be out of debt.

Would you like to say something to our community members?

Step-by-step and you'll get there.
