I am being sued by LVNV for a debt that I had to stop paying to Providian in December 2004. My husband's mother got cancer, we moved and I am unemployed. Is there any way you can help me. I have to have an answer to the court by Monday 9/8/08?

I requested validation during discovery with a validation letter and gave it to the court and their lawyer. My question is how do I motion to dismiss? Do I have to wait for the 30 days I gave them to pass before I request for dissmisal.They have not sent anything to me in 13 days. The lawyer said he couldn't get everything I asked for to the court.

I think some of you moderators need to find some balls. Think this forum helps people looking for specific answers to questions about their specific problems but far too many people come to this site desperately trying to find an easy way out of their problems which means finding a settlement company that will bail them out and this is their due diligence, the first post or two touting a company.By closing this thread, it no longer is a forum ……. I didn’t start all of this, I am just an observer that doesn’t necessarily like what I see all the time….Please open it back up…...At the very least, have Denny admit that Oak View is affiliated with the owner of this site and that he endorses the group. At least then, it would all be above board…… it’s not right leaving a lot of this up in the air. Yeah, most people could care less and don’t want to see or hear the bad mouthing, they just want there answers……. Give them the answers…… the real ones…..Thanks

I have found a lot of information here that is very beneficial. But, I do have a question? In reading through the information, particularly the Validation Letter, I am confused. Can a third-party collections office (Attorney John Fry of Covington VA) validate the original loan as theirs? What is the purpose of the validation letter if they are going to say the debt is mine? I am confused, please help me understand. Thank you very much.

I was wondering what it means or what happens with CA when you mention Bankruptcy or BK Counseling. The gal I talked to today said I had tied her hands and she can't help me since I mentioned BK counseling?
