You need to contact your state bar association or you may be able to look it up on your state bar's website. The bar associations are the ones that license attorneys to practice law in any given state. So if someone wanted to practice law in MN, they would need to seek licensing with the MN state bar.

Sorry should be wage assignment not garniishment. Also file complaints with your states AG's office and with the BBB. Many times filing these complaints will help settle problems that you are having with the company. What I did was contact the companies first the ones that were willing to work with me I left alone. The ones that were being jerks I reported. But many go ahead and report them at the same time they send the letters to the company. Personal choice.

NO it probably won't work. I would close your checking account and open another account at a diffeent bank. If you can't close your account then have the bank put a hard freeze that will not allow ACH debits to go through. I would contact payday select and ask them to mark you account paid in full as you have already paid back the principle and interest. They will either agree or not. If they don't agree talk to them and see what they will settle for. They are usually pretty reasonable. Paydayone is legal but contact them to see if you can work out payment arrangements for the remaining balance and have the interest stopped. I would offer them an additional $350, which would give them $75 of interest. Seeing as they are legal they have the right to some interest. If you can't pay them the $350 all at once see what kind of payments they will accept. The legal ones will sometimes work with you if they see that you are willing to pay them back. MAgnum from what I can see is not legal. Call and ask them what their license number and what state the license is for to be sure though. If they can't give you a license number then they aren't legal. Then all you would owe them is the principle balance only. Do the same for United Cash and Ameriloan. I Doubt you will find a license number for Ameriloan. What I did for Ameriloan was promised to pay the remaining principle by a certain date and they readily agreed, but I have heard from others that they can sometimes try to play hardball. Do not let them scare you. United Cash if illegal all you owe is $50, same for Ameriloan. Magnum you would owe the full $391. Stick to your guns with them. Send the revocation letters to them. Also send a letter saying your revoke any wage assignment or garnishment that you may have signed to cover yourself. When making arrangements to pay back, call all of them but concentrate on the legal ones first. The illegal ones acknowledge the amount you say you owe and that you will pay it as soon as possible. I was able to give a date because I sat down and worked out a budget for the next 4 months, but I know that is not always feasible for everyone. Let me know if you need any other help or if I did not answer any questions.

HOnestly I would need to know the principle and how much you have paid so far to advis eyou much farther. Example: I had a loan with payday Select for $500. I had paid a total of $490 in fees and principle. I sent them a revocation letter stating that I revoked their right to debit my account and I also included my state laws and such stating that by Florida's laws I only owed them $65 and that I would pay it by October 28th. I also put in there that I only wanted to be contacted by email or USPS. They emailed back accepting my terms. Because of Pa law on the legal ones you have to go by their licensing state. Payday select would go by Delaware law.
