Some one sent it to me this morning. Thought it may be of interest.

There's a lot of publicity at the moment about online fraud and identity theft and you might be wondering how you can protect yourself when you're using the internet. Here are some tips to help you stay safe on the web:

Be careful with your password

- Don't share your passwords or log-in details with anyone and avoid writing them down
- Try and use a different password each time you register with a website
- Change your passwords frequently

Don't give out personal details

- Ignore emails asking you to confirm your bank details, even if the sender claims to be from your bank
- If you buy something online, use a site with a secure payment system
- Never reply to emails asking for your personal details

Good post kash!

And use multi-factor passwords too! Combination of letters/numbers when you can. Makes them harder to crack.

Thanks for posting that, kash. I do hope more people read it. Especially the part about the emails. They sure do make them look "real" from your bank or paypal or anyone like that, and they're not!
