Default KCA Financial Service

As I wrote above, it is just impossible to reason with this company. My problem was a bill with Verizon, that I had paid. So, what I did was write to Verizon and informed them of the type of collection agency they were dealing with. I also suggested they try to using another debt collection agency; this type of behavior by KCA reflects on Verizon and I don't think they want this kind of publicity. Write a letter to the Company you had the debt with and let them know what is going on. Maybe that will help.

Default irony and a request for help....

I learned that someone stole my identity and charged up a Verizon bill. I would have learned months ago but the rude reps wouldn't tell me who the creditor was. They kept asking for my information, SS #, etc. After my responding in kind last night to their lovely street verbiage, they accidentally blurted out the account I was allegedly in debt for was last year.I verified today with Verizon a telephone # from a place where I have never lived. I contact KCA and leave a message for them to call me so that I can initiate a fraud packet. here I am begging them to call me. Of course they never did. How do I get their address, my acct. # with them (imagine that)so that I can work with them...... was pleasant on the voicemail and even made light humor about my asking them to call me back.

Default Thank you!

It is truly amazing that they have a "night voicemail" on at a time when the staff would otherwise be calling you. I did hear from someone who gave a name and an extension. I will have to call them during regular business hours. I really appreciate you help.Another question, who does the original afidavit of ID theft go to? The local precinct? They say not to send it to the FTC........Thanks again, ahead of time... ..............

If there is an ID theft, the affidavit needs to be sent to the credit bureaus first. The fraud alert should get activated immediately so that no one misuses your accounts.

Default Getting calls but they can't find us in their database

Dear Moderator, We get calls to our home weekly, if not more frequently. No identifying info is left, simply: "Please call 800-XXXXXX on an important business matter. Use the 800-# as the reference number." We have called 3 times and have been unsuccessful each time in finding out WHY we are getting calls. We did find out that the company is KCA Financial Services. They don't have our names, or addresses OR TELEPHONE NUMBER in their database, but they are unable to remove us from a call list. BBB won't take complaints like ours (I already tried), but I have filed a complaint with FTC. I will also write a letter asking for written debt validation. Any other suggestions?

Pat,

Lots and lots of people are facing this problem everyday. Perhaps these callers use a dialer system that has some technical problem or they intentionally do not remove any information from their database.

W/e, are you sure they are contacting you to collect some debts? You have mentioned that your name and address is not in their database. So send a cease and desist letter through CMRRR. Keep these records safely as the evidence of your correspondence.

Try to file your complaint with FTC or Consumer Protection Office of your state. Do keep us updated on this matter.

Default Illegal collection

I am in Florida and KCA debited $142.47 out of my checking account and I have NO outstanding debts. I called them and they have no idea who I am. KCA insisted I was related (and somehow responsible) for someone else's debt with the same last name as mine...
My largest concern is how they found out my personal checking account number and accessed it and I do not have any bad debt!

Does anyone else have a similar situation? Please let me know so we are able to pursue same together.

Default Unprofessional

I was hung up on yesterday when talking to a "manager" at KCA. They are trying to collect more money from me than what is owed. Where do I go with this?? How can they do this?? It is a 100.00 discrepancy that I am fighting - she told me she was going to ruin my credit report.

Brigid Hay,

Dispute it. Whenever you identify any discrepancy in what a collector claims, dispute it. Send them a letter mentioning the incorrect item. Then they should verify it and send you out proper response.

One more thing, wrong information can never ruin your credit. If they report it to credit bureau, FCRA allows you to dispute it. So there is nothing to worry.

Thanks Bryan -

Thanks for the info. How can they stay in business like this?? They are obviously crooked. I sent them a fax stating that I want all correspondence with us to be written because I feel like they are trying to cheat me. We'll see what happens. It is comforting to know that I am not the only one having issues with them.

Default KCA

They are sooooo rude. They called the day after my husband died last week. I said to call another day to talk to me and he threatened me and said "deal with it lady and pay your bills" They won't send me copies of the invoices either.

nurssetam57,

I am so sorry hearing what happened with you. How can they be so unkind? According to fdcpa they must you send you written documents entailing details of your account. Send them DV, make it certified. They should send validation once they receive this letter.

You can get their address at the top of the previous page of this thread. Hope this helps.

Default Payment Plans; mh5846

Per my phone conversation with Josh West today I have agreed to pay $200 in Jan '06 and $200 in Feb '06. At the end of Feb 06 I agree to revisit the amount we are paying and will discuss in good faith our ability to increase the amount we are paying. Please let me know if this meets with your approval?

Hi Kevin,

Welcome to forums

Please contact KCA to get your payment plan approved. This site has no connection with them. This is debt consolidation Care and this is the page where forum members have posted their feedback on this company.
