Does anyone know the KY state licensing requirements or the states remedy on usurious loans. I am trying to write letters to my illegal pdl lenders and I want to make sure that I have everything that I need.

I was just wondering if I need to include the laws for operating without a license and KY's remedy or usurious loans in my letter, or will the pdl laws be sufficient.

PAul, I used the state law that was in the quote and then the section that Goudah posted under what does this mean about the internet companies being illegal.

motomom, I have tried to respond to you three time so far and I keep getting error messages. My computer is acting stupid. I think I remember that now that you mentioned it.  I just remember the letter writing was so confusing with the laws. I was so afraid I would get the laws wrong and then the pdl would repsond and say you know nothing about ky law the law says..... and then I would not have a leg to stand on.

It can be very confusing. Just when I think I have a handle on all of this stuff these PDLs seem to pull something new and I am confused again. I lean on cannr a lot. She is so good and tough.

I do too. I would not have gotten through this without her. I was so scared. No i feel stupid for being that scared. It is confusing and they do throw stuff at you. I am still trying to wrap my brain around the whole illegal pdl, illegal collection agency being able to put stuff on your credit report. Even though cannr and everyone else has explained it, it is still not logical. I know it can and sometimes does happen but ....
