MAN!!! Everyone's talking about the fires in my neck of the woods. I have never seen it so smoky and hazy over here!! My feeling is that anyone who throws a cigarette out a car window should get the death penalty right now...

KS, I sure wish I could send y'all some of this rain right about now. We've had thunderstorms off and on for the last three days. Forcast calls for more of the same for the next week or so.

Amen! I am sick of Rain! That's all we get in the midwest. I wish I could send our rain to dry areas in California and etc.

My thoughts are with you both, KSCornell and MarkOfKane. Just watching the news and seeing what's going on in your areas makes me cringe.
It's always the case, one area is way too wet while the other is bone dry.
And I absolutely agree KSCornell on stiff penalties for throwing cigarette buts out the windows of cars! The death penalty might be a bit steep, but they really need to toughen the laws on that. It's been an issue here in Florida before too, there have been several outbreaks of fires that were determined to be caused by this.
It's funny, one of the news stations here in Jacksonville did a story where they hid with their cameras in downtown Jacksonville and confronted people after they taped them throwing their cigarettes down on the ground. One idiot was like 5 feet away from an ashtray when he did it. He did pick his up and throw it way correctly after she confronted him. One other jerk just kept saying "no comment" while walking away.

They aslo used to do a "Dumb and Dangerous" drivers segment too. I kept expecting to see the guy that did that segment get his butt kicked.
Never happened, though.
