We had the Stone Soul Picnic at the Venue on Memorial Day. We had the following bands: Ledisi, The Whispers, Chaka Khan (still GREAT) and Frankie Beverly, who came on after a power outage! On Wednesday, it was Iron Maiden--and I heard from backstage that these guys were very sweet and funny, especially the lead singer. A whole lot of 40 year olds acting like twenty year olds in the audience, but hey, it is what it is....Chicago with the Doobie Brothers next weekend!

It got interesting when said 40-year olds started jumping out of their boxes onto the concrete in the house, which was about 1 story down and running into the mosh pit! Oh MAN!!!!!!
