I appreciate the feedback so far. I am signing off now because I am getting off from work, and I don't have the internet at home. I will check back tomorrow to see if there's any more messages posted. At least the knot that was in my stomach after talking to that company has gone away, I do feel a little better now! Thanks again...I just might be able to sleep tonight!

At the risk of sounding stupid...what's a debt validation letter? I've never heard of that.

It is a letter that you send to the creditor asking for proof that the debt is yours and is infact correct. I believe that there is a sample in the do it yourself section of the forum.If not I can get on to send to you

I found the sample letter. I will have to re-word a couple of lines, but at least I have something to go on. I guess I can type that up today and fax it to them before I leave from work. I guess that this letter will at least stop anything pending and buy me some time?

Fax them the letter if you like, but follow it up with a hard copy. Send it certified mail, return reciept requested. They'll have to sign for it, and you'll get back a little green card with their signature on it. That's your legal proof they got it.

I am dealing with my cash now also ...on a loan I defaulted on in June. Freaky gave me another address for the,...and knows a lot about them if you PM him.
Their collection agency is usually CPD or Credit Protection Depot...maybe they turn it over to yours after that. 4700 Rossville Road Chattanooga, Tn 37407 866-645-1661 __________________
