I received a letter from LTD saying their client they are collecting from is Advantage Assets II, Inc. I have no idea who this is and can't, for the life of me, figure out who I owe the amount of money to that they claim is owed.
Does anyone know who or what Advantage Assets II, Inc. is?

I am not sure of the rights I have, but these jerks have been harrassing me about a DELL account that I never applied for. Calling anyone and everyone that might possible be related to me or even know me. I have family in the legal field and I am very interested in taking action against this highly unprofessional company. Does anyone know how we could stop this from hapening to anyone else.

This company contacted me and I have no idea why. I have no debts... and I have never done business with Dell. Any other reason they might contact me? Any advice is appreciated...

Dear Person,
Enclosed with this letter is a previous letter. Since I sent you the letter I have continued to receive repetitive harassing phone calls, 3 today by 10 am. Some previous calls impliedly threatened me with , I assume, adverse credit reporting and lately, including today, calls wherein the contact person hired by Dell Financial was very aggressive and rude, one even stating they knew California law but that “We are calling from India. “
Some others of your ‘earlier' callers have also asserted they are calling from New Delhi , India, implied that while they know what the law is, they are exempt from Consumer Protection laws. This is not so. Under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC section 1692 c [c] and under California law known as California Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, you were to have terminated all communications upon receipt of the earlier enclosed letter. If you doubt that you are required to terminate all communications ,you are asked to consult your attorney and have him contact me. I recommend you copy and send to your New Delhi call center the legal summaries by the California Department of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Division of Legal Affairs ,
I look forward to immediate termination of all contact . If you continue to call Please Be Aware , I Now Give You Notice I Reserve the Right to Record All Contact from You and Keep an Electronic Log. Should You Call Me Again, I Will Assume You Have Consented to Me Recording the Call.

 This company employees people that are very unprofessional and rude. Steven Vutci lies to people and is VERY VERY VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL in every aspect of customer service. I am glad that I don't live in a city that has the moral and professional values that Mr Vutci has. This company lies and harasses people which is totally against the fair debt law.

I suppose it makes them feel supreme & powerful when they call and threaten an 84 year old woman. Just to let everyone know, in CT at least the state banking dept here doesn't tolerate these tactics. Mr. LaRusso you will be hearing from the CT State Banking Dept.

I forgot to mention, the first time they called they allowed the 800-741-2100 number show on caller ID.

Do you realize that you so much as stated that you LIED to get the debt paid. Do you realize that that is in fact a violation of the FDCPA. Do you also realize that as a collector you can be personally fined. I suggest that you get some training so not to continue to give the law abiding collectors a bad name.

My dear friend Shank. Clearly you have a different outlook on things. I am a combat vet, retired US Army vet. I have been contacted several times by LTD regarding a debit I never acquired. They have disclosed the debit to my minor children telling them that dad was going to jail, told me that they would use any means needed to collect, when asked if that included violence they said “what ever we need to do”. The list of violations goes on.
I challenge you to tell me I am spineless, I have seen good men die in places you can't even pronounce. Call me un-American. I gave 21 years to allow you to post on this board although you clearly have no education or understanding of reality. Frankly there are not enough consumer protection laws to protect real Americans from the likes of you (Debit collectors). Not to mention the broken credit reporting system. There are laws. It seems to me your like the common bully (or coward at hart) hiding behind the phone, thinking your tough. Picking on those that are weakened due to things you likely have no ability to understand. I think you're un-American. Worse you're a coward.

would you believe this,these people call up telling me that they will take legal action if i dont pay in full.due to unforseen reasons i got behind and they got the debt.  then after arranging and making monthly payments they still would call every day.
ok fine . but then they call my ex-x x wife and even go so far as to call her a cracker.
that did it for me,if they want my money now they will have to deal with my  debt soloutions center.
GOOD LUCK GETTING AN ANSWER THROUGH THAT!!!!
