Hi,

Jason wanted a help from me so I thought of sharing it with you all.

"Mike, See our first page/home page http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com . We are getting visitors who are searching for debt consolidation and debt consolidation loan. My real concern is that out of every 100 visitors, 40 are going dissatisfied. I am not sure what are they looking for. If I know their specfic requirements then I would be able to guide them. I have changed the home page content also to help them navigate to focused pages. Please help me understand the requirements of people who are searching for debt consolidation and debt consolidation loan."

Mike perhaps a disclaimer stating that we don't do loans and are not associated with collectors or pay day loan companies. Most people associate consolidation loans with consolidation services and we need to explain that. I personally have a consolidation loan to save on credit card interest.

Yeah, I think the main problem is a lot of people searching using those terms are looking for a loan. They see it's not a loan company, and leave.

Mike, I agree with Cajun- a discalimer or something saying we do not offer loans, etc., may help.

I have answered many posts of people desperate for a consolidation loan- you tell them we don't do that, and they leave. I do,however, try to give them the other options, because I think some people think that a loan is their only option.

Thanks Simon and Mike for keeping on top of this Forum Very Happy karen

Another thing- I think alot of people that come here looking for a consolidation company don't fully understand the process of what they do and the time it may take to do it. They are also scared of getting a bad company and being in worse shape than they are.

We get alot of posts from new ones asking for reputable companies, and if you haven't used one personally, it's hard to direct them-except tell them to chek them out and look at the ranking chart. Speaking of which, I haven't looked there lately, but the last time I looked, the feedback was old and some dated a few years ago- maybe we can update the chart or something? just some thoughts..karen

All the above can't be wrong. Well, except the fact that none of the above posters have ever baked me a cake. DAMN YOU!!!!

But I 2nd (or would that be 5th) the need of a disclaimer.

I agree with all of the above, though 6 of every 10, or 60 out of a hundred can't be all that bad. There are worst stats, such as Roger Clemmens' post season stats latley.

I wholeheartedly agree with Cajun's disclaimer suggestion. It would save a lot of energy for everyone involved.

Another thing, it kind of seems like to have to jump through hoops to get to the forums.

I agree with Cajun & everyone...

Karen, in my opinion, a cake is made from scratch even if the batter came from a box. You are still making it at home, so it home-made!!

I am new here, but when I was first directed to this site, I too thought I could apply for a consolidation loan, or thought that I WAS applying for one when entering info about my debt etc. (Maybe I just didn't read carefully.) Anyway, I think, like everyone before has mentioned, putting a disclaimer on the front page saying that you do not offer consolodation loans would help. I think also maybe if you made the line: "Welcome to Internet's first get-out-of-debt community." bigger, and added something about how there are members here who have been in/are in similar situations who can help guide you in the right direction concerning your debt problems, that may help too.

I, personally, just decided to snoop around after I discovered I wasn't applying for a debt consolodation loan, and I am SOOOOOO thankful I did. I didn't need a loan. I needed advise and support from people who know what I am going through. This website has been a blessing!! I think if more people knew about the people here who are willing and able to guide you in the right direction and offer information and also help you realize you're not alone in this, they would venture further than the first page and onto the forums.

Just my two cents. Smile
