Hi thanks for responding. It was with cashnet usa. According to Tyler and Morgan. They said that they are with a law firm. They also stated that Cashnetusa arent the owners of my old account and someone else is. I did some researching online and found out that someone posted that they are in fact a third party collection agency. It was 2 years ago. I really cant recall if my check bounced because I didnt have the funds at the time or if I closed my account. I emailed the lady to stop the payment. I believe it didnt go through because I didnt have the money in the account at the time. So what can I do. They were threatening me. I also heard that if the amount is small. Companies usually wont fly here to hawaii just for $150. Thanks

Collection agencies have access to all your personal information ....Just like the Consumer Reporting Agencies. Was your Mom ever listed as a cosigner, or vice versa on anloan, credit card, etc.? Or, maybey they just went by your old address on your credit report. They know everything about you and so do your creditors.
