Is closing my account the only way? Can't I just stop payment or will they keep coming with alternate names?

My husband took out a payday loan with these people and when he realized what he did, and it was making his account overdraw then he put a total ACH debit stop on his account and cancelled his debit card and got another one. Now there is a law office I.R.S. has called his work and said that they are pressing charges against him. It is a C felony and he will have to serve jail time. They are also saying that in 6 months since the loan of 300 was taken out, that he owes over $2400 in finance charges. What can we do to stop this from happening? or is this another way they scam ppl and use scare tactics. I am doing my research now and trying to stop all this from happening. I checked into a site that says for the state of SC, where we are, that criminal charges are prohibited. They tried telling me because the loan was from the bahamas??? that the law doesnt apply????? Someone please help!! if anyone can give me more advise, answer me on this or email me @ djslickandangie@yahoo.com

They are operating under the name 1st IRS which makes it impossible to locate, but if anyone wants to talk to them they called me from 1-713-429-1842, and gave me a number to call them back for Meekah Green @ 1-877-777-2551 ext. 230. I think they change their name and number every few months.

Man, I am tempted to open a temporary bank account and then get a PDL from one of these places. I would love to get just one of these jerks on the phone. I would have so much fun with them.

I just got phone call from yet another law office dealing with quickest cash, aka mte financial. Supposedly it is Hudson Law Office, hesitated on giving me the fax number, which i called and it tried to go thru as a fax, but I am now having trouble getting it to go thru on the fax machine, of course! I sent a do not call order to the 1st IRS law office crap about a week ago, then I get this "law office" calling me today! I put in the fax that they are not to contact me or anyone on my contact list they have through the phone, they can mail me any and all correspondance to my home address! Guess they didnt want to be prosecuted for MAIL FRAUD!!! haha, i got them now! I dont mind paying what I owe, but you arent going to call me and get very rude with me and threaten to take me to jail. If you play by the law and are respectful, I am willing to work with you! I HATE RUDE PEOPLE!
