I was incarcerated for 4 years, when I came home, I had an exellent credit score because my mom used to use my social to purchase things, so I recd. credit cards, cell phones and anything else i could to make it out here, after 48 MONTHS of having nothing, I bought everything I could. Before I knew it i was head high in debt and still have problems managing money. Now I have rent, and bills and can't aford to do anything but make my rent. Being a convicted felon, I did not realize how hard it would be to find a decent job. Now I have an O.K job, but I only make ends meat.

Nice to know that you have realized the mistakes happened in the past. Now that you have a job and get a decent income, consolidate your debts under one bill. You can decide the plan according to your situation and save money for other necessary bills. After talking to a counselor, you will find your situation to be better. Continue the payments in the plan otherwise you will be squared back to zero. You don't want this to happen after enrolling in the program.

Welcome to the Community You're right, it is hard to get back on your feet. But, it can be done. Once I learned(though it took me a long time) what bad judgement and mistakes I made, it was alot easier to not do it again. That's how we learn! You have come to the right place, we will support and guide you through the process. Someone from your area will contact you with options, like Guns and Roses said, such as consolidation. Good Luck...Karen

MIAANDTRAY-----Keep focused on the future and keep paying your debts. Yes, it will be difficult and money will be tight. Keep working on improving your financial situation, Use the lessons you learned during incarceration and put them to good use to improve your current situation. Good Luck! You can do it!
