There are ways to shrink your existing debts through one of the debt management programs. Discuss your debt problems with a counselor. He will find the suitable plan and get you started in the program. Make sure that you are regular in your payments otherwise you will lose all the benefits from your creditors and will be squared back to zero.

Are you employed? Perhaps an extra job for the holidays could offer some quick cash. I second keystrokes, definitely take the advice of a debt counselor, cause it will just get worse if you don't. Good Luck.

A second job will always help as you are facing financial troubles at present. You can continue it as long as you want but your prime concern should be to fix the existing problems by having additional sources of income.
