I am a young college student off of my own for the first time, and got in over my head. I am a month late on my $820 a month rent, owe $800 in credit card charges, and have out $1000 in cash advances. If you can help please do.

Welcome---since you signed up as a member someone will be calling you shortly and you can discuss your financial situations with them. What state are you in? Are your cash advances internet payday loans or storefront payday loans?

Hi jlmckerracher , welcome to the boards, there are many here who have been or are in the same situation you are in. First off you need toncentrate on getting your rent paid, your daily expenses are your first priority. Your credit cards are the next on the list and then those horrid payday loans, they fall way to the bottom of the ladder. Anyhow are your loans store or internet, what state are you residing in? keep posting and we will do what we can to help you out

A college student is still a consumer....you can go thru any program. You however will need to work to afford the program.
