I was looking for a website for MY! Direct and came acrossthis forum. I have been round and round with this pay day loan place with no luck. I was in a big bind after a serious accident that left me laid up for 10 wks, so that meant no work and living off of $175 a week with 3 children at home, and I might add I am a single mom. I applied for a payday loan from this company and ended up paying them $45 every 2 weeks for a year and no way to contact then to try to pay the loan down, so then as times got harder and harder I applied for more payday loans and ended up borrowing more and more to make ends meet every month. After many many overdraft fees I finally had no choice but to close my bank account in order to get caught up. Needless to say they started calling me at home at work and even on my cell phone harassing me to pay in full or have my wages attached. A week before Christmas CTC threatened to take my last paycheck before Christmas. I am up to my ears in debt with these companies after paying them countless fees week after week and never getting them paid down. Now I received a call from someone telling me that My1 direct is putting charges against me with my county and that this is a felony and I can end up in jail and/or lose my job. I don't know where to turn and time is running out can anyone help me find a way to stop this process?

Well REALX WHAT state are you in!? YOU can BOt go to jail for a debt loan companies have told me this very thing before too! dont pay them! how much have you paid into the loan?

Every pdl company uses this common threat that you will go to jail for not paying the debts. Don't be worried about it. If the company is a legit business in your state, they may take you to the court and the judge will frame your repayments with the company. You need to check if MY1 Direct is licensed in your state and charging interests and fees as per your state laws. Go through the fine print and compare the charges with your state laws.

CTC is another worst company in the business. I haven't heard from anyone that this company ever followed the laws in any state. They are from Canada and have violated many laws in their country. Many agencies are doing legal investigations on this company in the US. File complaints with your AG and the BBB. This company needs to be shut down at the earliest.
