You need to get those answers from the collection agency. Do you know the name of the CA having your debts?

You can contact the original company you had the cc's with and they will be able to tell you if they still own the accounts, and if not they will give you the name of the collection agency that they sold it to. Then you can find out how much you owe. You can also check your credit report. Go to annualcreditreport.com to get one free credit report per year.
