Probably, a debt management program is the right choice for you. Under this plan, you will have all your debts combined under one payment. The counselor will call the creditors on your behalf and negotiate to lower the interest rates. He will also try to waive off the total fees added on your account. Hope you feel easier after talking to a debt counselor. You may also consider a debt settlement program in case you are not able to afford the payments set in consolidation program. The counselor will review your financial situation and set up a suitable plan.

Until you can get something worked out with either a settlement program or with a conselor, maybe you could call your credit card companies and talk with them to see if you can have your payments lowered. I am sure you will have to close out the accounts. This might help until you can get other things situated.

You may also want to call the place where your house was financed. I feel with these people if you let them know just what is going on as soon as you can, they will work with you, do not keep them in the dark. Its scary, we all know that, but call them and tell them your situation, you will feel better.
