Wow. I can't believe I just found this place. I finally came to grips with my debt in Jan of this year. 4 Years of day-trading (ie gambling) away over 250 thousand dollars. Some of it not even my own money. It was awful, awful, terrible.
Anyway, I've come clean now, am not trading anymore and trying to build my business back up to cover all my debts. I'm in the middle of short-selling my house that is in foreclosure, and may be moving into my office in the next month.
Like I said, my life ain't boring!

Thanks, the blog is really more of just my online journal at the moment. It really helps me to write my thoughts out and vent! It's something I used to do when I was in my teens, but then stopped when I started doing stupid stuff with all the loans I got.

Been reading your blog a little. Sucks a lot! I don't mean the blog, just the situation in general. I thought $20k in debt was a lot, and I paid it off in two years. Just keep working at it and you'll get there one day. Good luck.

Talk about honor and committment. so commit to repaying that much is amazing, most people would file and be done with it.. heck most attorney's would even recommend it and wisely so.. Go luck and thats for sahring your journey with us

A belated welcome to the board and good luck getting your business booming.
As you said there are tons of great people with great advice and always someone in your situation. When I need a little boost I go read the success stories and it helps me to realize there is an end to it all and a light at the end of the tunnel.

I, too, am struggling to get out of debt. It is really hard work but recognizing the problem is the first part of the solution. So good for you! You're on the right track. I'll be checking out your blog.
