I received a call from CRS, she said they were in New york. 877-995-0657. A Ms. Rivera and a Tom Young called me. Left a message saying they were going to come to my home or work to serve a summons for a "bad check" they I had with Bank Of America.



I don't have a Bank of America checking account. I called, spoke to a Ms. Rivera and asked her to send me a letter with the reference she was referring to. She refused. What do I do?



She said it was for a Payday Loan and I autherized a ACH autherization for withdrawel. Again, I told her I never had a Bank of AMerica account. Her reply was, So do every one I talk to says that." I also told her somone said they were serving me with a summons and she said...."We don't do that". I told her I had a voice mail saying that. I would not play it for her.



How should I handle this.

Most of these collection companies/PDLs do not have complete information about the loans ofr the persons who own the debt. They just look for people who'll fall prey to their scare tactics and pay them.

So, if they're refusing to validate the debt, then send them a cease and desist letter stating that you don't owe the debt. If you've the call recording where the person threatened you to sue you, file a case with your local police authority and with the FTC.

I came home today (8-18-2010) to a message left by Ms. Rivera from CRS 877-995-0657. I have no outstanding credit or debt issues (that I'm aware of), so I decided to check the web for more information about CRS. So, out of curiousity I returned the call. After I gave the claim number -the gentleman addressed me by my aunt's name and I said no-you have the wrong person. The claim is against an aunt (by marriage) of mine that I have NO social interaction with. The gentleman I spoke with said my phone number was the one provided and encouraged me to contact my aunt...like it's my problem??. I reiterated that I have no social interaction with this aunt, not my problem, have no clue why my phone number is associated with this issue and to remove my number -not to call me again re: this matter. He had the audacity to say that shouldn't get an attitude...I said this was pointless and hung up. Hopefully this will be the last time I waste my time on this matter.

Does anyone have an address for this company? They called my brother with the same message looking for me.
