I am in debt about 6,000 dollars this may not be a lot to some but depending on your incoming household income. I am thankful to be living in California because of the laws that this state has. I would say it’s mostly stupid little debt like blockbuster, phone bills and inquires have screwed my credit a bit too. Sometimes to make my self feel better I say I’m only 21. I have plenty of time. Quote but I know that’s not true, My BF has six credit cards that im paying on as well. I feel I should being the fact that I used them up. I plan to pay all his stuff off in January with tax money, lets just hope that goes well. I was doing fine coping with this above and what not and having a little extra on the side……………..But then came payday loans…. My gosh they got me in a hole. I am still in debt to some that I am taking care of now but I have to say that I am blessed there are others who are far worse in debt than myself. I also had to educate my self on the laws in my state such as SOL (statue of limitations) and rates that people can charge ect. Ect. I thank God so much for getting me through my indet-ness ect. Ect. I am still fighting the Payday lenders well some I knocking them out as they come. I just hope that things work out for me and my BF in the end with our financial situation. It feels so so good to get something paid in full or even marked paid in full but I have to admit that when I pay it in full I get a lil more pride that I am doing the right thing. Lately I have been doing my financial matters a lil better. I am young and hope that I can get on track. I actually honestly don’t see my self buying a home till i am 27. I do goals I am attending school, I actually just started. I need the education because I want the money! I am young but I am getting there, sure I started down the wrong path but I am finding my way back down the yellow brick road….lol yawl know what i am saying… also sometimes when its time to pay the bills and I am so darn broke I always seem to have a little extra left to have fun with, that’s a blessing from god seriously. I totally rely on him. I do know that I need to fix a few things that do, and really since I came to the forum i have been feeling a lot better. To stay posted on my situation check the post frequently. This is the beginning and hopefully a good one it will be with gods grace…thanks you everyone….Stay Tuned!!

Hi Tasha, I saw your photo in the community album. You are sweet
I can feel your confidence while you were composing your story here. You will surely make up and come out of yours and BF's debts. Keep a check on your spending while you are paying a few of the accounts. Remember, any amount saved can be largely used towards the accrued bills. When you have taken care of everything, it will be the perfect bliss to imagine at this point. I wish you good luck and positive energy. You have also become a member of this community and started helping people. That is also a good way to begin with after redeeming the points into cash, not to forget about all the updates on the payday loan industry and learning about the individual rights.

Tasha, Do not feel bad, we all make stupid mistakes, even those of us who are not so young, I'm 37 and wish I was in a different place right now, instead of deep in debt. My bf doesn't even know about my pdl nightmare that I am suffering through, although I'm sure after he told me how dumb i was he would be willing to help me fix it. What I am trying to say is that hopefully you, and the rest of us are learning from our mistakes and in the future we will all be a little more prudent in our decisions. I've been reading your posts, you are very quick to help here and it shows how much you care. Keep it up girl!

I hear both of you...my husband has no idea of the PDL nightmare I got myself into either! It's really frightening when you sit down and do the math...how did I get into this much of a problem!
Thankfully, with what I've learned on this forum and some hard work (and even a little luck), I'm getting this stuff knocked out! We'll all get there eventually!

Hi Pauli, it's great that you are correcting yourself from the past. I say, there is no time for mistakes to happen. It can happen anytime and on anyone. The sooner you realize it, the better. I hope that you may be feeling a bit better now comparing with all those problems you had in the beginning when you realized all this. I am sure your days will improve, surely. Stay connected and well informed.
Hey Tasha, sure we are friends.. just hang in there.. Wow!! did you take your pic just now and posted here? It's cute.

Tasha--Welcome!
Your picture is adorable!
I'm glad you found us here at the forum, and you'll come out of your mess stronger than ever. And being only 21--You WILL have plenty of time to fix things. Set yourself a goal and stick with it.
The one thing that helped me a ton was to make an Excel spreadsheet, and I put everything I owed on it. I would enter in every payment I made. SEEING my progress with my eyes that way really put things into perspective and made it so much easier to keep track of things.
I'm really tired, so if I'm rambling, sorry!

Tasha,
Thank you for sharing some of your story with us Your picture is adorable. It seems that you are on the right track with your debt situation. It is always good to have goals, especially at such a young age. Now is the time to start and to learn from those of us who are older and just now taking care of business. Jessi has a good idea with a spread sheet. It is something I do now for our monthly budget. Keep us updated on your progress and enjoy the rest of your weekend

Hi Tasha.
I currently have a PDL out with CashNetUSA. I checked my contract, and there is no wage assignment.
By the way, congratulations for "taking care of business" now. You're only 21 - you've got your whole life ahead of you. You're smart to straighten out your credit now. The best of luck to you!
