I am trying to pay off my credit cards, and its not working. I owe to much money and can't get out of debt..

Hi lauwa
Maybe, you are experiencing problems with your credit card debts due to the high interest rates. Most of us are in the same situation. The money you are paying towards your debt is going in interests alone. How much is the total debt?

Since you have registered with the site, a credit counselor should contact you soon. Debt conslidation may be the way to go. No, I don't mean a loan to consolidate all of your debt. There are a few options that you may want to consider but there is a way out. Welcome to the forums

It will be easier for you to put all the accounts under one payment plan. Doing this, the interest rates will be negotiated and some saving will occur each month. You should talk with a debt counselor and analyze your financial situation. He will frame your repayments that suit you and do the credit repair. This program has many benefits to offer. I am very afraid of what they may do i tried talking to them today because they called my job stating that this was a legal matter. When i got home from work i called them back And the representative was very nasty over the phone. I told him i could make payments but just hung up the phone i don't know if i'm going to hve to go to court or not he told me i better get a lawyer but i can't afford it

Try to send your proposal in writing. You are safe till the point you are making efforts to pay the debts. Written proposals will prove your point in the court. Send some money in advance so that you will figure out your proposal as accepted if they cash it.
