These rude and angry people call my house early in the morning and late at night. I told the rude employee that I would send something Friday and he told me they need the entire amount today. When I said I couldn't, he started badgering and screaming at me. I almost felt that if we were face to face he would have physically attacked me. I never dealt with an agency like this and I will rather face a judge, then to satisfy this rude employee by sending him one penny.

yet they haven't brought it. The first time they called and threatened to take me to court, garnish my wages, and put a lein on my house, I was rattled. They offered me a settlement that had to be paid within two weeks. I told them I couldn't, made a fair counter-offer which they refused, then told them to go ahead and take me to court. They called back. I told them to take me to court. They called back. I told them to take me to court. You get the idea. I also called the company that actually OWNS the account and they said that no action was being taken and that if any legal action were taken, it would have to come from them, not NES. Anyway, no action has been taken, despite daily threats from their "legal department", and I am no longer rattled. In the mean time, I took it upon myself to send them about $800 over the course of 4 months. A lady actually called yesterday to tell me that I can't just decide how much I want to pay them. Hm... that's funny... you're cashing the checks and I haven't seen a summons yet, so yeah I think I CAN decide how much to send you. I will continue to pay them, but I refuse to deal with their repulsive reps.

Hi all i am dealing with them now. I rec. a letter yesterday. we are trying to pay bills and clean up my husbands credit to buy a house. we are pretty sure we have all his past bills from credit cards paid. then we get this. they want us to pay almost 700.00 saying who the previous creditor is but we don't know this credit card and they won't give us the previous creditiors information to contact them they just expect us to pay the bill. one lady called us liars saying my husband knew exactly where the bill was from then hung up on me. i've been hung up on a few times today plus they have called 11times today and it's only 12:22pm right now. they wont return a call when you leave a message. one lady told me "honestly some people here don't even want to deal with it that's why they act that way" i told her that's no excuse it's their jobs and it's not good customer service at all. i tried calling the BBB of cleveland and they are closed till 12:30 believe me i'll be calling them back.

It was one of the most humiliating phone calls I ever had! After a two year court battle from a traffic accident, I explained on 12/18/2006, they call me to try to settle before the end of the year. My traffic court thing has Atorney's. Anyway they said just to try to get the money by 12/29/2006, and I said I would, then they said but you have to give us the routing and checking number before we hang up or we will have to go to legal proceedings against you. This guy was super nice, he also said that if I did not have the funds in the bank at the 29th, then they would have to to do the legal filing. Today I received a call from a lady, don;t remember here name, but she continued to yell at me and pointed out how much money I make, and yelled out "pay your bills"!!! Then she said because the money was not in the account that they would now file a fraudulent charge against me!!! My heart felll to the floor!! I have offered to make three even payment over three Months but they won't do it! what can I do? I have researched over the net on this company and they have a bad reputation for this sort of behaivior.

They called me today and told me that legal action was being taken against me; and get this I offered to pay the full amount. All I asked was for 3 days for the check to clear. Sadly they where unwavering. “I can't pay you what I don't have†I said. Then I asked if I can post date the check; they told me no I had to make a payment right there and then. No time, no check. Wouldn't it be in there best interest to work with the debtor?

I was amazed this morning when the phone rang and the caller ID was blocked. First of all I have my home phone unlisted and all the privacy blocks on my phone. Yet they were able to get through on my phone. Another story though. My child answered the phone and they wouldn't give him any information as to why they were calling so he could leave me a message. Only that it pretained to a Law Suit and gave him a number to call. When he asked what type of Law Suit, the lady told him that she didn't care what type of law suit it wasn't her problem and hung up on him. Very rude!!!
When I called the number, they told me it was a collection agency and they had two payment options. One was to pay it all today in full and the other was in two payments of 50%. One today and the other in exactly one month. I told her this was the first time I heard this bill was turned over to collections. I told her I had ever intentions of paying and would be happy to pay in 1/4 payments. Because I just didn't have it right now because of pay periods. It would be tight even when I did get paid to pay that much and my family would struggle for the next month. She told me that there were only two options and I didn't pick either one, therefore, she was going to note on the account that I refused to pay and I told her "No" that wasn't the case and she said, I didn't pick either option therefore I was refusing and that they would see me in court and hung up on me before I could say anything more. First of all, if I send something in the mail even if it's not much, do they have to take it and can they still take me to court? I never sign anything ever with regards to the main company stating if it was turned over to collection I would pay in all or in 50% payments. What can I do. Should I still send them the money and how do I know they put it towards my account? |

This company needs to vaildate the debt before you pay them a dime. Also send them a letter asking them not to contact you only by mail. KYSIDE38

I have been dealing with this company for a little over 1 year. I experienced all the threats and phone calls that most of you all have. I learned after the first intial call that they have this bad guy, good guy routine going. The bad guy calls initially to rattle you and then He/She hangs up after they threaten to take you to court. When you call back because they have scared you into it, you usually encounter Mr/Ms. nice guy, who conventiently listens to everything and makes every effort to "work" with you. I set up a payment plan with this person and had been paying religiously. When they ran out of postdated checks, Bad guy called back again and he was super outragous, yelling, cutting me off, accusing me of not wanting to be responsible for my debt. I tried to explain that I had been making payments according to my arrangement. He just kept screaming stuff and demanding I pay the remainder of my balance. I refused and then informed him that he would either accept my payments or not, he hung up on me. I did not get frustrated or nervous this time around. I just called back, refused to speak with this man again and requested a supervisor, who was a good cop, made arrangements, complained about bad cop and hung up. I then wrote a cease and desist letter, requested a full account of my debt and requested that any communication be via mail. I received an account of my debt, but I have not heard from them via phone since our last arrangement. Feeling a little daring, I called back and asked to speak to bad cop, when he came on the line I informed him that he was super silly for acting like such and idiot, because in the end, they ended up taking my payment arrangement anyway, despite his insistence that they would not....he hung up on me....lol.
BTW, my payments are what I can afford and no more than that. When I set up the first payment, I start with double what my monthly arrangements will be. In other words, I give them $200 on my first payment and then $100 for the next 6 months. I am almost paid off and will be free of them by April. |

Is there a site to get a sample of the above in order to cover all nessasary information in the Cease and Desist All Communications.
I am not the party with the debt however I was listed as a contact person. These people will not stop calling my house. They call 5 times a day starting before 8 am with a recording to call. I called at told them that the person they are trying to reach does not live here and to stop calling. I relayed the message so if they don't return the call it's not my problem but to stop calling me everyday. They are now calling more. |

Here is the sample C&D letter.
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...-cdletter.html Send it through US mail with return receipt requested. The laws will be violated if they continue to call after receiving your letter. Make your legal move even stronger by recording their phone calls after verifying with your state laws. You will have a proof of their violations if the calls are done. |

I have had it up to here with this company, does anyone know what to do? They say we owe on a Verizon account and honestly we do. We stopped paying the bill on it Oct. '06 and will pay it off when my wife is able to go back to work after she has our baby. However, they call and demand money now from her, she can't deal with them and gives me permission. I ask for a letter in writing of what account it is and all information that they have from Verizon Wireless. They say they already sent it to me, but now they can't send me anything? What is up with this? Either you can or can't send stuff. They admitted they had nothing and if I wanted any account information I would have to contact Verizon. They did have a cell number on the account, one of which we have never even heard of. I told the guy that and he stated that it was the number on the account, that sometimes they give you a number to start your account but it changes instantly. LOL, I have never heard of this in my life. So I demand something stating what we owe and what account it is for and he says that I just don't want to pay my bill. Again I state that I will happily set up arrangements if he can get this to me. He hangs up on me. I call back after their automated message keeps getting sent to me. This time I talk to Jon Stewart...hmmm T.V. name, and he tells me that i just need to pay my bills and again tells me that he can't send me anything with an account on it. He just tells me that he is going to take me to court. Well I read that is a violation. I tell him that and tell him I am reporting him to the FTC and he says do it, they won't do anything. I ask to speak to his supervisor and instantly it is time to close, and he hangs up on me. They call back today and leave a message. I call them back and ask to speak to a supervisor they give me to this guy named Mr. Elwood....lol whatever. We get into an argument and he starts yelling at me which causes me to yell and then he tells me to stop yelling at him. He then tells me his name is Michael Cain....Actor, lol, and I told him that he said his name is Mr. Elwood, and I told him he flat out lied to me. He said and I quote, "I lie, you lie, we all lie." He lies to me and expects me to sent him money? Anyway I call back cause yes he hangs up on me, and speak with head division? What is head division? Anyway, I he states his name is Sonny Corinthos, lol I look that up and it is a fictional character on General Hospital. He didn't want to hear any complaints from me on the rudeness from his employees. When I told him the guy admitted to lying he said, and I quote, "You could say he threatened to kill you and that would be your word against his". I asked if he also was calling me a liar and the guy said that he just can't believe anything anyone calls up and tells him. I ask for a number or person I can call to make a formal complaint at his office and he told me he didn't care if I ever got that number that he was going to tell Verizon that I flat out refused to pay. WHAT DO I DO NOW?
