i was making monthly payments to pallino receivables via direct deposit from my banck account. i have not missed a payment for over a year but now i got a letter from m.r.s associates for collection. id like to know why my account was sent to them.

Hi Anonymous.
Sometimes for whatever reason your account may be sold to another collection agency. Before you do anything, contact the new company and tell them you want them to validate the debt. They need to send in writing who the company is they're representing and who the debt is for. I would even go as far as to call the company the debt is with and ask which collection agency is reprsenting them.

I noticed I typed "who the debt is for." I meant to say how much the debt is for.
