You are off to a good start. You may also want to file complaints with the BBB, FTC, and anyone else who will take the complaint. You never know, some pdl's really care about what the BBB says . . . .

I received a call from an Eastern Acceptance Credit company in New York saying they had received a civil action suit against me from a payday loan (internet) form Quikpayday from June of 2004. They told me the only way they could let me have any documents was to get them when we went to court. I was so worried that I set up payments but the payment was rejected by my bank because I just did not have the money to cover. I have been out of work since July and really do not know what to do. I have a 4 year old daughter, and even with unemployment we are barely getting by. We live in Virginia. Can anyone please help me see a light at the end of this very dark tunnel?
