Fraud by Allied Interstate

Over the last week, allied interstate has called me over 2 dozen times, looking for another party that does NOT exist in my place of residence.

Unfortunately, the people answering the phones when I called to find out why I am being harrassed were extremely rude and unable to answer my question as to who gave them MY phone number as a contact number. I believe Allied Interstate has been defrauded by the subject they are looking for, but they didn't seem to care as I was rudely hung up on by at least 2 of their employees.

Does Allied have a legal department that my attorney and the NY State Police can contact, because stealing someones phone number and other personal info and using it as your own is as bad as total identity theft.

BTW, Allied representatives DENY that their company has called my home numerous times looking for said person. I have the evidence on my caller ID and multiple messages on my machine.

The phone numbers originate from multiple zips also, a 201 area, a 336 area and an 866 toll free number.

Someone please advise or I will have my attorney file papers against Allied along with the person giving out my info.

Welcome to the Community Very Happy I'm sorry you are having problem with a debt collector. Alot of us have had the same thing happen to us. What I did, was write a letter, and telling them wrong house,wrong person,wrong number, and to cease and desist from contacting me again, and it worked. Alot of times, they use an old phone number, then it's given to someone else who gets these calls. My friend got calls from a CA for a neighbor that had skipped out, seems they used tax records and found out all the neighbors numbers,etc. Good Luck, and let us know what happens. I'm sure they have a legal department or representative . Be sure and send all your correspondance ceritfied,return receipt..Karen

Sue them after you have enough proof of them violating the FDCPA.

Keep a note of all the calls made, with date and time and the name of the person calling you.

Send a cease and desist letter mentioning that you refuse to be contacted by phone. Send it through certified mail so that you are sure about the delivery of the letter to their mailing address.

Check out your state laws first and start recording the phone calls. Tell them know about your actions and that you are interested in filing a lawsuit with your attorney because they are violating the federal and state laws. They should not be calling you one more time after receiving the cease and desist communication.

I would definitely send a cease and desist letter to them stating that theres is nobody by the name they are looking for at this number.Here is another number for them if you dont already have it 800-447-2934.

They are also affiliated with IntelliRisk Management. If you still get no satisfaction you may try the IRMC consumer line. IT'S 800-811-4214.


I still get call for someone who had my number from 4 1/2 yrs ago.Apparently they still have it on the checks they're using .I know how frustrating it can get.

allied interstate is the absolute worst. I can't begin to tell you what a terrible experience I had with them. I eventually had to write a letter to the FTC that put an end to their stupidity. My humble opinion is as follows: take whatever action you deem necessary against them and follow through until you get total satisfaction. I'm not kidding - for my sake and all of the others that have had to endure these nitwits, take it to them!!
