Hello,
I wanted to start this new topic, my other one is ULC. I need help with the company that calls me about these three pay day loans that I have. I know one company is called dedit doctor and I can not remember the other two. I want them to stop calling me and I want to do everything by mail. But how do I know if they are going to just write and not call me. Also they say that I owe 2,000.00 still I have paid them so far through western union 650.00. Feb 27th was the last time I sent them a payment of 100.00. They told me that the added all this interset on to the three loans because I had defulted. They added close to 250.00 of intersest on to my principle amount. I kive in NJ and PDL's are not allowed at all in my state and all I have to pay the is the amount I borrowed. I need help handling these people. When they call me they tell me that I need to pay off the whole balance or if not that they are going to sue me. And wheN I say ok can we work out a payment plan cause there is no way in the world that I can send the 2,000.00 at one time they tell me no, they want the whole balance. They tell me that they are not a collection agancy where I can work out payment plans. I have to send all the money or they will submitte my file into my state. What should I do and what should I say to them, Should I be worried???????? Help Anyone

Welcome to the forum. First take a deep breath and relax. Now we are going to need a little more information from you. Who do you have the loans with? How much were they for and how long have you been paying on them? Now are Bass and Assoc. the ones who are calling you? They are really nasty and they use some of the scummiest scare tactics. There are no debtors prisons. They cannot download papers on you and they will not send 25 people o process you. if you look through the information on this forum you will see many people who have written complaints about this company. Contact the FTC and the attorney general in you state and register a complaint against them. Do not send them any more money until you figure out how mouch you have already paid and to whom. Everyone here has been or are in the same position that you are in and you will receive an awfl lot of good advice.

Read all the pages backwards in this link below.
http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/creditors-information/about13221- 29.html
All the illegal activities of Bass and Associates are posted there.
In most cases, Bass and Associates is not doing legit collections. If you are receiving the calls from them, try to deal with the original lender and make arrangements on your accounts.
I think I have already read your post in some other thread. Pdls are illegal in NJ. You must confirm that you have paid off the principal amount and then frame your legal moves against the lenders charging illegal interests. They are trying to make more money out of your account. File your complaints with the AG and request thorough investigations on the lenders.

This company is a COMPLETE JOKE. No charges are going to be filed against you tell them to get a life and a real job. You are not going to be arrested and no charges are going to be pressed against you, and truth be told they don't want any contact with any government agency as they initiate illegal collection activities, tell them you are filing extortion charges against them, and explain to them that by giving you threats of something that is NEVER going to happen in an attempt to collect money from you is EXTORTION. And yes, there are collectors who have been charged and convicted now serving prison sentences for this activity. Tell them you are downloading them!

You will need to research them in the forums. There is tons of information on them here. I honeslty would not pay them another dime until they validated the debt. It is highly unlikely that they will do that. They are full of illegal threats and collection practices.

pay the original creditors. you do not have to recognize a collection agency. To the folks who posted after her, she did not say bass told her she was going to be arrested. she didnt say that anyone told her she would be downloaded (whatever that means).

That is erroneous. You cannot deal with the original creditor if they have sold the debt, or if they refuse to deal with you and they have assigned a collection agency. The poster should have the debt validated by the CA attempting to collect it.
The threats of "downloading" or arrest are ones that many posters here will personally attest to having been told by Bass & Ass.

I to have dealt with Bass & Associates, and they threatened to send someone to my work to serve me with court papers. Are you sure they can't do this? I was so scared I ended up paying.

These jerks are nothing more than blowhards that steal money. They have violated the FDCPA79 so many times, I have lost count! They count on people not knowing about the fdcpa.

But do they have the authority to send someone to your work or home to serve you with papers. I was afraid if I didn't pay someone would be showing up at my work.

They are not going to send anyone to your place of employment or your home. They threatened me with this and it has been several months and I am still at home.

Thank you for this information it makes me feel better. It is at the point where I am afraid to answer the phone at work anymore, for fear of getting one of these people.

What would be an appropriate response to these people if they threaten me with this again?
