If i just got a payday loan off the internet from Mesa Financial, i live in north carolina but I close my bank account...what can they do

Have you paid them anything yet. If not you have a moral obligation to pay back what you borrowed plus what ever interest is allowable in your state. They will probably harrass you to pay and eventually turn you over to a collection agency if you do not pay them. I will post the laws of your state if someone doesn't do it first.

As I thought, they are prohibited in your state. This does not mean you do not have to pay them back. It is wrong to keep money that is not yours, not that you were planning to. I would not know that!

I will pay them when i get the money, as you said i have a moral obligation, but i think they copied my bank stuff...causae when i went to it, it had a page come up that I did not read until after i put my information in, and it said not to put your information in as they could not verify the web address....so therefore, i am going to close my account
