Please contact the Attorney General's office if you are having a problem with a PDL. I did and they sent a very strong letter to the company and clearly stated that they are to "cease and desist from further collection" and quoted the law to them that they are acting illegaly in the state of NC. They are here to help us, not hurt us.

Thanks for your post, Dixie. I'm not in NC, but am glad to see the strong stance your AG has taken.

Get this... I did the right thing and faxed her the information that pertained to SJM... she emailed me back and said that I had submitted false bank statements!
So I replied back with: "The bank statements were NOT false, who ever reviewed them obviously has no idea what they were looking at. My bank can attest to this. I will not send you the entire statement, it is none of your business. The state of NC is backing me up on this! I will forward your reply to them and they have contacted you I have a copy of the letter. You have been paid more than enough on this loan, plus you have yet to send me the paperwork which makes you believe that I owe this.
Then she reply with: "I no longer want anything from you. Have your banking institution fax
the information to 1-866-323-6555 needed to prevent further action." Wimp!!!!!!! Shows how sure she is of herself! She is SPAM from now own! However I did forward this information to Josh Mitchem.

She is progressively getting uglier and uglier. I did notice something odd... on all of the demand letters/emails... they were never addressed to me personally... almost like it was a bulk email.

FINALLY... I am done with these people! She continued to harrass me and I sent all of her ugly emails to the NCAG and they slammed her! If you have a payday loan and you are in the state of NC... Please contact the AG office.

Hey, I was just looking for you the other day. I actually posted a thread asking if anyone had seen you lately I have one last loan with Little Loan Shoppe, I had a loan for $100, and paid them $31.25 and $25.00 renew fee. They are still saying that I owe them $68.75, and that if I pay, they will mark the acct. PIF...
