Company/Individual reported: DEPT RELIEF of AMERICA

Thinking about signing on the line? Don't have anything to do with "DEPT RELIEF of AMERICA" or associates! These thiefs collected close to $15.000 from my Wife over a period of three years, (via a monthly payments), and paid out a total of $1600.00 as of the last report. The understanding is that they are now out of Business (under this name!) SEE: South Carolina Dept of Consumer Affairs for more info. Incidently, this Company has advertised on the Rush Limbaugh radio show.

There are lots of scammers out there. There are free non-profit services out there Consumer Credit Counseling that comes to mind first. As far as advertising on the Rush Limbaugh show, that is usually done by the local radio station and unless someone has filed a complaint against any company and informed the radio station or Rush personally, how would he know they are ripping people off. Heck, they might even have advertised on the Clark Howard show.

Honestly I just think if you ask for a harship program most of these Credit card companies would reduce your interest rates in no time. And if they didnt try not paying for 60 days and come back to them with your hardship problems and watch them drop it down to 5-7 %.
