margot_hauser- that cannot be true because the initater of this post, chizhy, is from Texas, and they issued a cease and desist letter to Rio Resources on their behalf. I don't know who or whom you have been in contact with but you need to contact the Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit and not the Dept of Consumer Affairs www.okdocc.state.ok.us.

I have a copy of that one. Thanks Traci I'm working on my complaints now. I have dealt with 4 of these affiliates and overpaid them all. Time to get my money back....

Traci,

Could you pm me your contact info for the Oklahoma Dept of Consumer Credit? The person that you talked to, I would really appreciate it. I'm also refiling complaints with my state's attorney general office and division of financial institutions right along with Oklahoma.

Just an FYI: I am the one that originally posted the letter on here. I worked many months trying to get OKDCC to help me. The first person that I spoke with said there was nothing he could do because MTE/Rio was located on the Reservation. I then filed complaints with my AG, who sent it to OK's AG, who sent it to OKDCC, and this time it got to the right person who sent me the cease and desist letter. You need to speak to the person that has sent these letters. I have his name and number if any of yall want it. Just PM me.

chizhy,
I did not mean to offend you in anyway with posting the info on the letters i received. It was your original post the encoureged me to file to OK about these companies. My letter stated though, that I am not responsible to pay back any principal nor interest fees and i am entiled to any nsf charges they caused me. I don't remember if your letter said that also, otherwise our letters were pretty much the same.

I will be sending all of my correspondence to the Governor in Oklahoma. I would appreciate anyone that has received one of these letters to PM me. I think we should get all of our complaints and letters together and send them as a group to the Governor.

I will have to try and contact roger wagner tomarrow. i am reading posts that OK is saying its only for OK residents, but pdl's are illegal and prohibited in my state of New Jersey so possibly thats why my case is possibly different. I will call him Friday and repost to you all what I was told.
