I have several payday loans, and I signed up for a counseling session. When I started putting in my creditors, I find out you don't accept Storefront payday loans, and here you are advertising that you help people with payday loans. I'm sorry, but I feel like I'm being scammed.

I don't recommend hiring a debt settlement company until you find out the details. Ask MANY MANY questions. More times than not, individuals are able to settle payday loans on their own with the advice of the members of this forum, why pay someone to do what you can do yourself. There is no guarantee a debt company can and WILL settle with payday lenders, especially if the lenders are unlicensed! It pays to do your research first!

a while ago, i wanted to do the debt settlement route but the settlement company told me to open up a bank account with them as power of attorney, i would send them payment every month but keep puttng money in this savings account also until there was enough there to maybe settle with each of the payday loans. But then i was told at the end of the conversation that not all payday companies will work with them so guess what? i fixed my payday problem myself by following the advice given here on this website. all the payday companies got their money one at a time because that's all i could do. i didn't care how much they yelled or threatened, i didn't back down. i paid using a walmart reloadable visa card because i now had proof that they were getting paid. I demanded PIF's after paying double or triple the amount that i borrowed. After a while, the war died down and my world was at peace again. no more payday loans. yes, you can do this on your own.

I read over the website and wanted to know if these consolidation loans include payday loans and/or lines of credit from payday loan companies? I have 3 lines of credit with 3 different companies and I am looking to consolidate them as soon as possible.

I do not know the specific rules on a LOC for payday loans. I would call and ask the PDL compnay if they offer an extended payment plan on the LOC loans.

You can also call a PDL consolidation company and ask.

Please begin a new topic with the following information:
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.

you should look up your states payday loan laws, for eg: I am in Florida, and it is against the law for a company to lend over $500, and you cannot have more than one. Also once you pay off one, you have to wait 24 hours to take out another pay day loan. So check you states laws they may be doing this illegally. And Also read the paper work you have signed with the, there should be a section that addresses if the loan cannot be paid at the time it was initially agreed upon. Again, in Fl it states that you must notify them before the day it is due, and they cannot continue with interest charges, at that point you can set up an arrangement that fits your needs not theirs. No matter what state you are in there is a law to protect you from sharks like these, and you have to just tell them what you are willing an able to pay not what they want. If you can only afford to pay them down $100 a check than that is what they have to accept, because if they were to take you to court and you tell the judge the arrangements you offered and they refused the judge should side with you, after all you are attempting to make payment, they are the ones refusing to accept it. Good luck hope this helps!!

Click the link below to see if any of your store front lenders are members of the CFSA (Community Financial Services Association of America), if they are, then you could be eligible for and EPP.

Next click the link below to read about the EPP, refer to number 11.

Thinkcash isn't a payday lender so they wouldn't follow the payday loan laws, they are an installment lender. The rest of your lenders aren't licensed to lend in MI. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.
