ok, once you have defaulted on the storefront ones
do they start calling your ref, work right away?
Is there a way to make them (other than PIF) to
get them to not call the ref, work and cell phones?
Is there a letter possibly?
thanks

Talk to the companies. Try to make payment arrangements with them (get it in writing). As long as you keep up your end of the bargain then they have n reason to contact you at work. Hopefully they will work with you. Make sure they have a way of contacting you. They should not contact your references as long as they can contact you.

If these ar store front loans, you need to talk with them and work out a payment plan with them. They are sually followuing state laws, and tend to sue. If you default on a payment, my experience has been that they will call you until you are current. You can tell them that you can't receive calls at work and mine didn't..
Good Luck..KAren
