If certegy is no longer collecting on something does it normally go somewhere else? I haven't had much dealings with them, but I thought they held an account until it was paid. Mine is no longer being reported by their database, where did it go? One csr told me it looked paid, how could that be? I am one of the customers that had my information sold by one of their employees. Should I just leave it alone or what?

I would like an answer to that question also. I had something reported to them a while ago and was wondering what does happen to that? Rolling Eyes

It is strange, I got an email stating the account was no longer in their database, where did it go?

Even if something is paid it is usualy is somewhere within the data base. Ask to speak to someone in management to find out. Maybe they can look it up in another area.

I have contacted a few different customer service representatives. I am not gonna question it anymore. If they say it don't exist, I am not gonna push it. I kept all the correspondence from them.

This question is for FYI, how long can they (meaning certegy) report information in their database. Like how many years is it there?

I know that my company has records from 6 years ago. So I guess it would depend on the company.
