How long after the PDL'S try to debit your account does it take to make contact with you?? Do they make several attempts first?

Funny you ask...

it took about 3-4 days then they started emailing me.....then another 2-3 days and they started calling....after i sent them letters....it took another 2-3 days and they called again....i sent cease and desist letters and now they mail me letters to my home. However, I keep getting mail from my old bank stating they are trying to debit money and its getting returned. They wont give up even though I told them the account is closed.

I still have a few PDLS that call and shouldnt per my letters....

They will never give up. The main think is that the bank account is clsed and your money is safe.

I want to pay but the fees were killing m on 13 of them i had no choice, some I have paid 3 times over. I just want to buy some time and pay the principal amount without my paycheck being eaten by the outrageous fees! I was hoping that it would be a few days!

Its really all a waiting game. I am sure they will contact you and the ones that you still owe on , you can make some kind of arrangements with. Have you sent the wage assignmenr revocation letter yet?

No i wanted to wait until after Friday when they try and debit my account. I sent it to the ones that aren't due this week. I heard back from 1 but not the others. I will work out arrangements after they find they can't take my money. I also have to go back and look at my statements to see which ones i still owe after paying all of the fees for months.

Is it recommeneded for everyone to send a wage assignment revocation letter? should this be sent to collection agencies, too? I never sent one and am scared that people will try to start taking my money again.

No . You send the wage assignment letter to the pdls and give a copy to your payroll person.

kashzan - does that apply to anyone battling payday loans? I never knew to do that (I thought you had to wait for them to do it??) When I give it to payroll, do I put each one seperate in a different letter? Should I do this for collection agencies, too? (i'm waiting on dv letters to be returned but don't trust them!)
