attorney general complaint

Can someone send me or post a sample of how to write a complaint to the attorney generals office? What kind of info should I be putting on the form? I am not sure if I should tell them i closed my checking account since the pdl company wouldn't make payment arrangements that I could afford that would actually pay off my account. I know where to file the complaint I just am unsure of what to say I dont want to end up getting myself in trouble. I am not unwilling to pay if I do indeed still owe which I dont feel that I am needing to do after paying alomst tripple what I borrowed to begin with.

You can go through the different sample letters in http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/letters/ for help.

But I think that, if you have lot of debt from PDLs then it will be prudent for you to go for debt consolidation program which will help you to make lower monthly payment.

I sent a letter to my States Attorney Generals Office and my pdl was takening care off. Please post what state you live in. Someone will be along shortly with a link to your AG infomation where you can send them a letter asap. I would send your letter(s) certified with a return reciept and if your AG cannot help you, then you might consider debt consolidation.

I think that your AG probably has a complaint form somewhere that you can download and fill out. Try checking their website, you might be able to submit a complaint online.

Mainly they just would want to know what has happened from beginning to end. If you write a brief narrative of all events that happened -- starting from when you got the loan and how much it was, list payments that you made and when, and how much they claim you still owe.

It doesn't have to be a dissertation, just a timeline of events, so that they can determine whether the law was broken or not.

What state do you reside in? There are alot of people on here and maybe someone from your state will be by to help you. Do as debtcruncher has advised.

I know that when I filed my complaint with my state's attorney general's office I did so online. It is a fairly easy process to complete but post any questions that you may have and we will help you.

mollitime, just explain in your complaint that said company charged illegal interest, and continued to debit your account, therefore you had no other choice but to close out your account. Smile
