LOL
I sent Nationwide/Ambassador the fax this morning and have received THREE calls in the span of an hour. The lady said that she received the fax. Ok, what part of do NOT call me do you not understand.. they called my work twice, and cell once. Anyways.. She said in her voice mail something about they do not accept 3rd party consolidation companies. HUH? Where in the world did she get the idea I was using one of those? She would be more than happy to make payment arrangements. Oh, Im sure.. .for more than I owe. I borrowed $400 and belive I've only paid like $177.5. So I DO owe some principal. Although, I've used them 3 or 4 times and paid them off so I've overpaid a TREMENDOUS amount. She said if she doesn't hear from me than my account will be transferred for collection or something to that affect. But she wished me good luck, wasn't that kind of her? LOL

Well, looks like you have their attention, at the very least. I was only called once on one of my loans and I did call back to see exactly what they wanted. Good thing. . . after I sent a copy of my C and D letter off to CPD, they immediately gave me a PIF on one and I paid only what was remaining on my original balance to get my PIF on the other. I guess I felt it didn't hurt to see what they had to say. I have been fortunate with my 5 PDLs, they all settled at the original amount and in two instances less than. Keep us posted.

I paid them two payments of $87.50, then stopped payment on the third. I faxed them a letter revoking their right to debit my account. they did anyway, to the tune of $550 in four separate amounts. They claim that they did not get my fax. I have filed a dispute with my bank and they say they can take up to ten days to even get back with me.
I thought a letter revoking their right to debit was enough? My bank has a copy of that fax and proof that they received it. I could not freeze my account as I had several checks, including the deposit on my daughters dorm, out?
Have you had any luck getting your money back or am I just stuck now? I am grossly overdrawn now.

If you have sent a C and D letter, and they continued to debit your account, you should let their processer know that they are being asked to debit on a revoked account. I am sorry but I don't know who processes for them. Your bank could give you that information if you speak with the AFT/ACH department. Sometimes they process bank to bank. Fortunately, I never overpaid on any of my loans. I was lucky enough to get to this board before that was allowed to happen. And yes, people have gotten refunds. You would certainly think that they would honor your C and D request, but clearly they have not. That is why you should contact their processor if you can. Talk with your bank to get that info. Once the checks clear that account, can you close it then? That will give you lead time to get your money under your control.

I would send a C and D letter ASAP. I emailed mine and never did send a hard copy. Bossy gave good advice. . . find the letter in the do it yourself section.

What I thought was funny was she said she received my fax. Well then WHY have you called me THREE times????? I understand they CAN call since they are not 3rd party, but come on. And I dont get how she said they don't accept 3rd party consolidation... Where in the world did she get that from?????

There is never rhyme or reason to what they say or do. I think they make up the rules as they go along. It seems that no two people get the same response from the very same PDL on any given day. Hang in there and keep pushing forward.
