I disputed charges to my account and I know they are going to start calling me at work. How can I possibly prevent this? I am so stupid for getting caught up with all this stuff.

These are IPDL companies that are illegal in Illinois. I have paid some of them off twice. I have reported them BBB, the banking regulation authority and I am about to send a letter to the Il states attorney. I have placed a hard debit block(I think that's what it is called, I dont remember right now) I do reel relieved, I am not looking forward to the collectors who will start calling me. Any advice as to what to do at this point. Thanks!

just know that anything they say or theaten is hot air.they will
call because that is what illegal ipdl's do.being from IL myself i
had to put up with alot of stupidity from ipdl's until i found this
site.i would also file AG,BBB,and FTC complaints.again they can't and won't do anything but call,if you can't or don't want to deal with them.just hang up,you know they are illegal.don't be bullied by them.we are here for you.

Another thing you can do is tell your coworkers that your ID was stolen, and that someone took out these loans in your name. That way if the places do call, it won't look so bad on you.

I am up for the fight. I am so glad to find this site. I had no clue these places were illegal. I really thought I would be in this forever. Knowing that I can fight LEGALLY has taken a little pressure off of me. I know I borrowed the money and I am willing to pay that, but I have overpaid on these things so much, enough is enough.

I took at loan out at cashnetusa which has a apr of 460.16% for a 14 day loan of and Arizona (where I live) legal rate under this amount, I think 459%. I am new to this but isn't that illegal, that cashnetusa is charging more interest that my state allows. I have heard from friends, who have spoken to lawyers, that you shouldn't even pay off the loan because the interest is illegal.
Is this correct?

kcrooks I used the tactic that goudah explained,I went to my
supervisor and told him that I had my id stolen and had
unauthorized debits to my account and he immediately phoned
my hr and got my direct deposit stopped. He was rather sympathetic due to this happening to him in the past(having
his id stolen). Also I have found that an answering machine
for my home phone works wonders with these guys.

sbrogan77:
CashnetUSA is actually one of the few, online, licensed and legal PDL companies, and they do follow the rules of your state. There is currently no cap on the interest of a payday loan ( it doesn't fall under the state regulated cap of apr for revolving credit and normal installment loans ) and the state rules it should be following is your personal state's rules on rollovers, extensions, and total dollar amount allowed to be loaned to you.
