HELP!!!!!

Message Author
PostPosted: Thu Sep 18, 2008 1:52 pm Subject: HELP!!!!!

I closed my bank account and re-opened a new one with my bank which isn't linked to my old account at all. There is no way in hell these ACH's can re - open my account. My brand Manager guaranteed this to me.

My brand manager also put a stop on all 6 of my loans. Not only that but he sent the ACH my C & D letter from the bank on my behalf. Which I thought was nice and looked really legit coming from a massive bank.

I have e-mailed and faxed every single one of my loans stating how much they over charged me and how much I am entitled as a refund.

I'm just getting nervous about them calling my references. Even though both on the C & D letter and the fax and e-mail's I've sent out states that I am revoking their right to contact my references.

What are the next steps after this? I live in NYC and all 6 were illegal here. What is the rate they are allowed to charge on the finance fee in New York? If they are illegal in my state, then doesn't that automatically make any paper work I signed invalid?

I hope someone can help me. I cannot tell you all how useful this website was and how I can now enjoy my full pay check, as opposed to paying 600 every 2 weeks on refinance fees!

Thanks
J

hello,if you could provide the following.

which pdls do you have?
how much borrowed from each
how much paid back total including rollovers and fees

we advocate paying back what you borrowed.even if they are
illegal.not a penny more though.answer those questions and we can determine how much if anything you truly owe.

Thanks for the advice. The problem is, how do I find the addresses to those companies? It seems that some of them have addresses all over the country. How would I even know which one is the correct one?

My bank sent the C&D letters on my behalf that I took a sample from this website. It even included the state law. But that's just to the ACH processors. I can't find the addresses to the other companies.

Suggestions?

Thanks for all your help!

Just do a search on each one here and you will find information on most likely all of them.

Thanks everyone,

The only one I'm having trouble with is Rapid Cash and Vince Enterprises Ltd. There are at least 3 addresses posted for Impact. I'm tempted to send them my C & D letter to all 3 posted. I'm also attempting to get a refund from them. I know very few people get those but It's ridiculous how much money I over paid!

Also, does anyone know what I have to pay being a resident of New York. If they are illegal here...all I owed would be the principal amount correct? All of the fees are technically overpaying?

Thanks to all,
Jez

since pdl's are prohibited in NY there really isn't any way to determine the % rate.yes the fees go toward the loan.so you way overpaid on all but one.you owe them 30.00.when you send the letters cite NY law.the pdl's will claim because they are internet the laws don't apply.do not believe a word of it.

You did not overpay any of your loans. Fees are a part of loans, without them, we'd have no banks because there would be no purpose in granting loans. Perhaps you should take a elementary reading course so you're able to read the loan documentation and understand the fees involved with a payday loan.

Joseph, perhaps the financial responsibility should start on the part of these lenders who are ILLEGALLY lending in a state where they are PROHIBITED from lending! Perhaps THEY should take an elementary reading course so that they can understand the laws that apply to them. Evil or Very Mad

They did not illegally lend, they cannot lend to NY, that is true, but that's not stopping a person from lying on their paperwork, which would be the case here. If she showed IPDL loan documents showing her location as being in NY, I would pay off her loan myself. Clearly the poster of this thread is out of control, not the payday loan industry

I do not work for any payday lender nor do I have any stake in their success or failure. I'm merely pointing out that there's a distinct lack of personal responsibility here. There will always be loan sharks which will cut off your fingers for not paying debt, and there will always be banks which take your house and kill your credit when you don't pay them. I don't think payday lenders are at fault here for being the middle ground between the two. This woman took out 7 separate payday loans and didn't bitch a single bit when she had $3k to spend on crack, rims, or a big screen TV, but now that it's time to pay up AND pay for the service of getting that money when she needed it, now she decides that the industry is illegal. That money she got had to come from somewhere, there was clearly money being put into making that loan happen, yet she doesn't feel responsible for anything over the loan amount that was deposited in her bank. She needs to get control of her own life, robbing these payday lenders of money invested in her is not the answer. If the payday lenders weren't around, she'd probably be complaining in a forum for fingerless people.

Joseph I agree....if you can type a post here on this site, you sure as heck can read the loan docs which state the fees.

Well put!
